Nigerian National Arrested For Duping Son Of Indian Deputy Superintendent Of Police

Nagar police, India on Tuesday, April 11, captured a 30-year-old Nigerian national on the charge of swindling the child of a Deputy Superintendent of Police of more than Rs. 14 lakh, subsequent to promising him an occupation in Scotland.


The blamed distinguished as Steve Owen pseudonym Hussain, an occupant of Ramamurthy Nagar has lived in the city for more than five years on a business visa.

He professedly tricked the cop's child by offering him a vocation in Scotland with a compensation of Rs. 1.44 crore a year. The casualty, a MBA graduate who was searching for employments on the web, met Owen nine months prior.

The police said Owen reached him and offered him a HR official employment in a Scotland-based organisation. He fashioned an offer letter and looked for a commission of Rs. 14.3 lakh.

The casualty, in the wake of exchanging the cash, took a stab at reaching Owen and found that his telephone was turned off. Acknowledging he had been conned, the casualty educated his dad who enlisted a protestation with R.T. Nagar police.

Amid cross examination, Owen told police that he was included in a comparative wrongdoing prior. In any case, when police grabbed his financial balance, they discovered just `70.

Police are exploring in the event that others were included in the trick.
