Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has told manager Arsene Wenger that he wants to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer for a move to join Italian club Inter Milan.

According to the report, the German star has agreed a deal with the Italian club who only want him on a loan move, but the Gunners want a permanent deal.

The 25-year-old only joined Arsenal last season from Valencia, and he was part of the Gunners team that defeated Chelsea to win the 2017 FA Cup title at Wembley.

Mustafi’s exit would be a surprise at this late stage of the window and would suggest Wenger is planning on reintroducing Calum Chambers into his first-team squad.
