Here's The Report From Burna Boy's Court Hearing
Damini Ogulu, otherwise known as Burna Boy, was on Monday charged before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court for supposedly being an accomplice to outfitted theft.
The indictment affirmed that Burma Boy schemed with others to ransack one Abiye Jimbo, prominently known as Mr 2Kay in his room at the Eko Hotel and Suites.
Burna Boy however argued not liable to a two-check charge of connivance and accomplice to outfitted theft.
The indictment, drove by Peter Nwangwu, asserted that Burna Boy conferred the offense on October 24, at 11.20 PM, nearby other people who are presently on the loose.
Nwangwu said that the artiste planned with his associates to confer the offenses and furthermore did not reveal data of the said assault to security specialists.
“This is in contravention of Sections 411 and 415 of the Criminal Law of Lagos 2011,” Nwangwu said.
A three-man gang had allegedly robbed Mr 2Kay in his hotel room.
The instructions to rob Mr 2kay, according to the prosecution, were allegedly given to them through Burna Boy’s road Manager, Joel Kantiock.
The Chief Magistrate, Y. O, Aje Afunwa granted the musician bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case till December 29 for hearing.
