Man supposedly charges N12,000 to enroll understudies for UTME, faces detainment
The National Security and Civil Defense Corps on Tuesday reported the capture of a fraudster supposedly gathering N12,000 to enroll contender for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Lagos.
The Lagos State Coordinator of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Mr Sunday Aladegbaye, said the capture was made conceivable through the cooperation of the men of the NSCDC.
As per him, following up on JAMB's tip-off, men of the NSCDC, Lagos State Command captured the fraudster who is claimed to enlist contender for the 2018 UTME.
"One man (names withheld) was grabbed at the Action Center Junior Grammar School, Alagbado, in Lagos.
"The said fraudster was supposedly gathering N12, 000 for every possibility for the enrollment.
"The fraudster is presently in the guardianship of the NSCDC's Lagos state summon,'' he said.
Aladegbaye emphasized the board's dedication towards guaranteeing that the exercises of fraudsters in the UTME were checked.
He commended men of the NSCDC for cooperating the board in supporting the respectability of the examination.
