– C’Ronaldo seeks increment in wages as he moves for a new deal with Real Madrid

World best player and Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, according to report has informed the Spanish club that he wants to sign a new deal so as to increase his wages above his arch Barcelona rival, Lionel Messi.

The report was made known by  Journalist Duncan Castles, who believes the Portuguese striker is not happy that Messi now earns more than he does.

Duncan on the Transfer Window podcast said;

“Cristiano Ronaldo has been clear with Real Madrid, he expects as the best player in the world, in his opinion  to be paid the best wages in the world.”

He further said the star wanted to have his salary increased above what is paid to Neymar at PSG and Lionel Messi at Barcelona after a renewal of contract.

Ronaldo had done well in 2017 as he helped the Los Blancos side win a second Champions League title to claiming top spot in LaLiga and also won his fifth Ballon D’or, making him and arch-rival, Messi be on the same level.

Ronaldo had a deal in 2016 but it went shallow after the pay check of  Messi was reviewed following his new contract deal in 2017 and that of Neymar, whose move of €198m to Paris St-Germain is the biggest move presently.
