The Lagos State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Hyginus Omeje, has said the charge would soon leave on 'Activity Show Your Driving License.'
Omeje who revealed this on Saturday in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria encouraged the proprietors of the licenses to gather them. He included that the corps would set out on the mission over all units of the order.
"We are setting out on this task with the goal that drivers will go to our office to gather their driving' licenses.
"We have no build-up of new driving licenses in Lagos State.
"There are 56,767 licenses yet to be gathered by their proprietors.
"We have sent SMS to their proprietors that their licenses are prepared for accumulation however they disregarded reacting to our messages,'' the FRSC manager said.
Omeje glared at the disposition of some street clients driving without legitimate licenses saying that such licenses remained the main accreditation to drive out and about.
As indicated by him, the fine to drive without a substantial permit is N10,000 and the guilty party must create the permit inside 24 hours.
Omeje said that if following 24 hours such guilty party couldn't deliver a substantial permit, the vehicle of such wrongdoer would be seized.
He said that in such circumstance, it would be accepted that the driver was not authorized to drive.
Omeje said that the corps was not inspired by the fines or denying anybody the solace of his vehicle, however prompted drivers to make the best decision and be security cognizant.
