Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Gentry to appear in court today

Lanre Gentry, the repelled spouse of Nollywood on-screen character, Mercy Aigbe, will show up in court today, taking after an instance of physical strike brought against him by the Lagos State Department of Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, DSVRT.

A battle between the couple supposedly prompted her dying, a circumstance which educated her choice to storm the workplace of the Lagos State Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Commissioner, Mrs Lola Akande, on Tuesday, to report the matter.

Mrs Akande given over the case to the state Ministry of Justice.

The Commissioner stated: "I should recognize Mercy's bravery, since what she did is the thing that other ladies who are casualties of abusive behavior at home out there need to do.

They don't have to conceal it, aside from they need to pass on."

On her part, Coordinator of DSVRT, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, said the request keeps Gentry from drawing near to his significant other until further notice, guaranteeing that legislature would seek after the case to a coherent conclusion.

Aigbe's seven-year-old marriage slammed after photographs of her battered face turned into a web sensation on the Internet a weekend ago, as she blamed her better half for physical strike.
