Barcelona president adresses Messi and Iniesta’s contract situations

Barcelona fans are worried about the contract situations of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.

And they have reason to be so as the duo may leave for free next summer as things stand right now.

Much has been talked about new deals for both players, but Messi is yet to sign the papers despite the fact he has reached an agreement to do so in July.

On the other hand, Iniesta is also yet to sign, with the Spain international recently refusing to confirm that he will sign the new contract with the Catalans.

And despite Neymar’s deparature from the club this summer, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu believes that things are going in the right direction for the Blaugrana.

“The members can be calm about Messi and Iniesta’s renewals,” he said to Barça TV.
